In this course and following the sessions, you will be undertaking one of the most complex communication skills: LISTENING.
Here is the list of the most common listening problems. Defend yourself against them, for they will dilute the impact of the knowledge contained in each lesson.
- Viewing the topic as uninteresting
- Criticizing the speaker’s delivery or appearance
- Getting over-stimulated
- Listening only for facts
- Faking attention
- Listening only for what is easy to understand
- Permitting personal prejudice or deep-seated convictions to impair comprehension
